ALS Fundraiser

PERMOBIL SPONORS NATIONAL ALS FUNDRAISER

LEBANON, Tenn. (March 29, 2007) – Permobil, Inc. today announced its national sponsorship of the fundraiser—the signature event of The ALS Association—with a donation of $50,000 and four power wheelchairs that will be awarded to the chapter with the highest increase in donations for each of the regions.

Now in its eighth year, Walk to D’Feet ALS® is a series of approximately 150 walks that are held around the country throughout the entire year. In 2006, walkers raised over $12 million in support of cutting-edge research for ALS or Lou Gehrig’s disease.

“We are proud to be a part of such an important cause and to be able to partner with The ALS Association in furthering the awareness of the disease as well as raising money for research and patient care,” said Larry Jackson, President of Permobil, Inc. “Since ALS can strike anyone, it is crucial that we do all we can to help find a cure.”

The ALS Association (www.alsa.org) is the only national not-for-profit health organization dedicated solely to the fight against ALS. The Association covers all the bases - research, patient and community services, public education, and advocacy - in providing help and hope to those facing the disease. The mission of The ALS Association is to lead the fight to cure and treat ALS through global, cutting-edge research, and to empower people with Lou Gehrig’s disease and their families to live fuller lives by providing them with compassionate care and support.
