The second recall involves the need to install a motor grounding strap and affects all the serial numbers given above. If this cable is not installed it could lead, under a worst-case scenario, to the heating of a motor lock release cable and create a potential fire hazard.
Please note: Permobil has not had any reported incidents of issues related to the absence of the motor grounding strap to date.
