New: Driving to learn

So easy it’s genius. With the help of a specially designed power wheelchair Dr Lisbeth Nilsson
has developed a method for increasing awareness. The experience of motion in a joystick
operated power wheelchair grows curiosity and the will to explore, to experiment and to master
the tool. Experience of this method has been collected during more than 2.000 training sessions
with more than 200 persons in the ages from three months to 86 years.
'Driving to learn' can be used both on a very basic and a more complicated level. For one
person the goal can be to activate the awareness that an action of your own can lead to an
effect. For someone else the purpose can be to develop consciousness when it comes to possible
consequences of different actions with the tool – a joystick operated power wheelchair.

The training chair - a C300 - can be used by infants as well as tall adults. The necessary adjustments of the seating unit, to change from child to adult size, takes around 30 seconds. The most important adjustments concern the seating depth, the distance to the footrests and the distance to the joystick - which is center-mounted in a transparent tray.
