• As a world leader in developing and manufacturing powered wheelchairs, Permobil is a global company. Today our products can be found in 30 countries on four continents. We have subsidiaries in 20 countries.

• We are basically a Swedish company and our head offices are at Timrå, 400 km north of the Swedish capital of Stockholm.

• Timrå is a small town with 18,000 inhabitants and can justifiably be called the world’s foremost competence centre for the development of powered wheelchairs. The experience and knowledge accumulated within this specific area of technology go back more than 40 years.

The group executive board, the R&D department and other central functions are all based at Timrå.

Since 2006, Permobil has been owned by Nordic Capital, one of the leading Nordic private equity investors.

Our turnover is around 1,5 billion SEK and we have over 600 employees.
