PERMOBIL ANNOUNCES CORPORATE LOGO UPDATE
LEBANON, Tenn. (May 25, 2012) – Permobil, Inc. today announced it is refreshing its corporate logo for the upcoming 50th anniversary of the global power wheelchair company, founded in 1963 by Dr. Per Uddén.
The updated mark pays tribute to the history of the company by removing the encapsulating oval and putting the emphasis back on the word mark. Full of symbolism, the Permobil logo contains the following unique letters:

- The lowered "o"—Represents mobility and the wheel
- The misplaced dot over the "i"—Conveys the message that no one is perfect
"The cleaner style is easier to read and directs one's focus to the name of our company, which is a combination of Dr. Per Uddén's first name and the word 'mobile.'," said Larry Jackson, President of Permobil, Inc. "As we approach this significant 50th anniversary milestone, we felt it important to honor our company's heritage."
