Martin's Story: My capability is not based on your assumption

Can you be a "good father" if you are in a wheelchair?
Permobil wants to inspire people to think differently and challenge the way we look at each other. We believe promoting diversity is necessary to influence attitudes and create change in society. Martin Larsen, a successful Danish music producer and a father, speaks about prejudice and societal views of a 'good father'.
Stockholm, 2022-06-27. Martin Larsen is a song writer and a rapper. His music has 30 million plays on Spotify. Martin is also a father of three, but sometimes it’s neither his music nor his fatherhood that defines him in the eyes of others. Martin was once questioned if he could be a good father to his three kids because of his disability.
“I had never thought that some people could look at me in that way. Of course, I can be the best dad, if you ask me!”, says Martin. “I think other people would get a better understanding if they were not anxious towards people with disabilities.”
Martin Larsen is a part of Permobil’s My capability campaign, a collaboration with fashion designer Louise Linderoth, centered around the core message "My capability is not based on your assumption".
“We need to see each other for who we are – regardless of everything. This is a powerful message to inspire change and create greater diversity and inclusion.”, says Martinus Rönnerman, Vice President of Group Communications at Permobil.
