James Bernardez

A disabled man wearing long sleeve on his Manual Wheelchair.

Hello my names is James Bernardez and and I live in San Bernadino, CA. I’ve been in my TiLite wheelchair since June of 2009 due to being shot 2x in May 2009. My TiLite chair is my 1st chair and I haven’t wanted to trade up since my chair has been through every thing. Jumps off cubs through dirt fields, and the roughest type of street pavement. I’m an all around athletic man so I like to go a lot of places in my chair I’ve been through 5 or 6 sets of tires due to the amount of pushing around my city I do. When I don’t have a ride or don’t feel like waiting I shoot straight outside and push. I’m very independent when it come to me being out and about.

My chair has changed my life dramatically and put my spirits above the roof. I always get the best modifications from my providers from National Seating & Mobility. I’m now in my first year of wheelchair basketball and told I’m pretty good, so good I just received a grant this past Sunday for a new sports wheelchair. I believe with all this confidence and drive to go further in all life events it all starts with the right chair and TiLite gave me all of that, thank you.
